Job Description:

Gitam Aero Astro Club (GAAC) is looking for dedicated and innovative Developers to join our technical team! This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects ranging from web development to machine learning web-applications, and to contribute to the club's cutting-edge initiatives in aerospace, technology, and innovation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on development projects related to web applications, machine learning, or software tools for GAAC.

  • For Web Development roles: Create responsive and dynamic web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Tailwind CSS.

  • For Machine Learning roles: Build, train, and deploy ML models using Python, TensorFlow, and Flask (preferred but not required).

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using any programming language (Python, JavaScript, C, C++, or Java).

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

  • Work collaboratively with fellow developers, designers, and other team members.

  • Contribute to innovative ideas and solutions for GAAC’s projects and events.

  • Actively participate in hackathons, brainstorming sessions, and club challenges.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Git and version control systems.

  • Knowledge in at least one programming language: Python, JavaScript, C, C++, or Java.

  • For Web Developers: Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Tailwind CSS.

  • For Machine Learning Developers: Familiarity with Python and TensorFlow; knowledge of Flask is a plus.

  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, work in teams, and meet project deadlines.

  • Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and technology.

  • Interest in participating in hackathons and technical competitions.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working on open-source projects or contributing to open-source communities.

  • Knowledge of backend technologies or full-stack development.

  • Experience with APIs, databases, or cloud technologies.

  • Prior involvement in developing software for student organizations or clubs.
